Robert J. Martino – Corporate Counsel
Robert J. Martino is Treasurer of Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, PC and Chairman of the Law Firm’s Commercial Lending & Banking and Real Estate Finance Practice Groups. Mr. Martino focuses his practice on the representation of banks, commercial finance companies and other financial institutions in all aspects of commercial lending, asset-based acquisition financing and commercial real estate financing. He has extensive experience in the representation of lenders in syndications, participations and other multiple lender loan transactions and in the area of workout and asset recovery. He has particular experience in the representation of lenders to REITs, Pension Funds, as well as health care, high tech and other “specialized industry” borrowers.

Joseph R. Kowalchik – ERISA/Human Resources
Joe Kowalchik is a senior Human Resource executive with over thirty years’ experience in a variety of industries covering all facets of the human resource function. He is currently a principal in Innovative Business Associates, an organization that offers direct strategic human resource consulting as well as business consulting to small and mid-size organizations. Innovative Business Associates also works with a cadre of vendors to add value added services to our clients to help reduce costs and increase productivity. In addition to his consulting assignments Joe is Vice President Administration and Corporate Secretary for KGI Bridgeport Company, the operator of the waste water facilities for the Water Pollution Control Authority for the city of Bridgeport. Ct.

Joe has held a number of senior level positions with various companies, including Executive Vice President of Bovis Lend Lease, a construction management company. Vice President, Human resources at the Barnes Group, and Vice President of Human Resources for the ABB Power Generation Group. He was responsible for all human resource functions including strategic planning, staffing, organizational development, compensation and benefit design, and labor relations.
